Even in quarantine, Tamar Braxton is busier than ever.

The Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter exclusively revealed to Variety that she’s signed on to host VH1’s new beauty series “To Catch a Beautician.”

“I’ve been so excited about this. This is like a dream come true to be able to host a show that’s so much fun with an amazing production company and amazing network like VH1,” Braxton said, joining Variety’s Angelique Jackson for an exclusive interview on “Variety Live.”

The twenty-episode series, set to debut Monday, May 25, follows the Grammy nominee and celebrity hairstylist Johnny Wright as they work to help clients confront the beauticians who damaged their hair, before putting the stylists through a tough training and giving the professionals one last shot at redemption by fixing their clients’ botched hairdos.

“I’m all about beauty. I’m also all about people,” she added. “So, when you bring the two together — and the amazing stories, helping people, seeing a smile on their face and also redemption — I’m here for it.”

“We get them together, honey. Sometimes it’s not all about the beauticians. Sometimes it’s the client acting crazy and so we check who needs to be checked. In a loving way,” Braxton teased…
