The production company behind Netflix’s Queer Eye reboot is bolstering its executive ranks. Scout Productions said today that is has hired Joel Chiodi as SVP Strategic Development, Sean Perez as VP Production and Renata Lombardo as VP Talent and Development.
As a consultant, Chiodi was a key member of the team that rebooted Queer Eye, which won the Emmy for Best Reality Series this year. In his expanded new role, he will cultivate IP and strategic relationships for creating and selling content and development of special projects. Chiodi has more than 20 years of industry expertise, highlighted by executive stints at Legendary Pictures, Paramount Pictures, NFL Network and GSN.
Perez will run production for all Scout projects. His nearly two decades of production experience at networks including NBC, Fox, MTV, VH1, Discovery, Pop, Oxygen and Bravo.
Lombardo, who has been a producer on USA’s Christly Knows Best and held in-house roles at ABC and OWN, will develop new original programming for Scout and spearhead discovery of new talent across all genres and platforms. She also will begin working across Scout’s current slate of development and current programming. Lombardo most recently produced and cast projects through her Flourish Entertainment, one of which is in development with Bravo through Scout.
