The 30th annual GLADD Media Awards were held last night (March 28) at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles. Hosted by TV personality Ross Mathews, the awards celebrated achievements in LGBTQ representation.

Along with high-profile awards honoring musical royalty Beyoncé and Jay-Z, Will & Grace star Sean Hayes, and films and shows like Love, Simon and Steven Universe, the event also celebrated achievement in the unscripted space.

The award for outstanding documentary went to Believer, which follows Imagine Dragons’ frontman Dan Reynolds as he examines the treatment of LGBTQ members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, seeking change amid the rising rates of suicide among teens in Utah.

Believer was produced by Live Nation Productions for premium cablenet HBO. Heather Parry, Robert Reynolds and Sheena M. Joyce serve as porducers, and Michael Rapino, Dan Reynolds, Don Argott, Jeff Ciabattari, Willie Mercer and Adam Milano as EPs. The film premiered on HBO last June.

Fellow nominees in the feature documentary category were Call Her Ganda (Breaking Glass Pictures), My House (Viceland), Quiet Heroes(Logo) and When the Beat Drops (Logo).

Meanwhile, Netflix’s glow up reality show Queer Eye took home the award for outstanding reality program. Queer Eye, a reboot of the Bravo series Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, sees the Fab Five — five queer men with distinct areas of expertise (food, fashion, culture, grooming and design) — spending each episode making over a “hero” in need.

Queer Eye is produced by Scout Productions and ITV Entertainment for Netflix. Shannon O’Rourke, Woody Woodbeck and Elis Ortiz serve as producers, and David Collins, Michael Williams, Rob Eric, Jennifer Lane, Adam Sher, Jordana Hochman, David Eilenberg and David George as EPs. The show’s first two seasons streamed in February and June of last year, respectively, and the third season dropped this month.

Fellow nominees were American Idol (ABC), I Am Jazz (TLC), Love & Hip Hop (VH1) and RuPaul’s Drag Race (VH1).
